Roadtrip 2018 Fall: Vancouver - Yakima - Bend - Carson City - Lone Pine - Palm Desert - Sedona - Palm Desert - Paso Robles - Calistoga - Brookings - Yachats - Cannon Beach - Vancouver

Day 34 - Huckaby

Today's run-in is along an old road - perfect for a little puppytime.

Huckaby is a rolling terrain trail, with a steep down to the Oak Creek Canyon at the end.

We are high on the rim of the canyon, so there is no shortage of views.

We can see Huckaby from our house, so this view is back to our neighborhood. We're not totally sure which house is ours, but it's just below the crest of the highest green ridge.

Wendy indicates the direction in which the UFOs departed, while Ellie digs a hole.

Russ' respite in the reparian zone.

Our snack break at the bottom of Oak Creek Canyon. Ellie is hunting woozels.

There still is some stunning fall colour along Oak Creek.

A curious character greets us trailside.

Once again - the clouds put on quite an unusual showing.

The return voyage, high on the ledges, but in the late day sunshine.

Sedona's favourite tank - gleaming in the late afternoon sun.

The Martians have decided they need many trips to fully understand the phenomenon that is Sedona.
